Event description:

Join the ASUW Student Disability Commission and Nomy Lamm, from Sins Invalid, for a conversation discussing disability in the arts. Sins Invalid is a disability justice-based performance project that incubates and celebrates artists with disabilities, centralizing artists of color and LGBTQ / gender-variant artists. Nomy’s presentation will touch on ableism in the arts and specific accessibility and representation issues of being a disabled artist! Hope to see you there!ASL interpreting and CART captioning will be provided. The webinar will be recorded and made available for asynchronous access on the SDC website under ‘events’. Nomy is the Creative Director of Sins Invalid, a disability justice based performance project which centralizes queer, gender non-conforming artists of color with disabilities. Nomy sings cosmic power ballads for the rise of the matriarchy in a band called The Beauty and creates ritual tools for embodied Jewish feminist practice (tinyurl.com/olam-haba).
